What was the highlight of HOTEL EL RASTRO - Palacio Duque de Tamames -
Good
I have stayed here before and as such not much has changed. It is a decent hotel. My room opened onto a light well so no real view but as such it was good value. Staff are helpful and look to help. It is clean and a nice location.
The smell from drains was an issue. Proximity to the reception with poor sound insulation from the doors if the hotel is busy will be a problem.

Great location in a lovely town.
Lovely location. Quiet but very close to everything in Avila. Nice room with a beautiful wooden floor. Very clean.
The lighting was too dim to read by. A side light is needed. I found the matress a bit hard.

Simple quaint hotel inside city walls
Nice and quaint budget hotel inside Avila's city walls. The staff was really friendly and helpfull. Rooms were basic, but clean and comfortable. Bed mattress was confortable and gave a good night rest.
It's a basic hotel, so no breakfast available, no one in the morning to check-out (you just leave the key at the counter). There were no curtains in the room windows ... (and in front there's a terrace, don't know if used or not)
